‘Edison’s Tackle Box’ is a story about a little boy, who for the first time is asked to pack his own tackle box in preparation for a fishing trip with his dad. Edison not only wants to make his dad proud by packing his tackle box all by himself, but he wants to make sure he doesn’t forget any of the important tools a fisherman needs. As Edison begins to gather what he thinks is important to have when fishing, he thinks back on previous fishing trips with his dad. After a fun day fishing, Edison realizes of all the items he took with him the most important one wasn’t even in his tackle box.
